One of my personal favorite coffee table books is The Art of Walt Disney. To this day it’s still one of the most popular illustrated books on the history of a western artist.         The term "coffee table book" has been popularized by the British, and the idea of the "modern coffee table book" is credited to environmentalist David Brower, who first had the idea of publishing books that combined writings on nature paired with nature photography.   The Great Book of French Impressionism celebrates the richness and exuberance of the Impressionists' world—a world of light and color, of sunlit fields and shimmering waterscapes, of bustling city views and intimate domestic scenes. This handsomely designed Tiny Folio packs over full-color illustrations, faithfully capturing the subtle Author: Diane Kelder.
